What We Offer

Home Studies

We provide home studies for traditional domestic adoption, second parent adoption, and kinship adoptions.

Matching Services

Every family is unique. We match birth parents with adoptive families who reflect the wishes they have for the child’s future.

Placement Services

Our team works to carry out adoption plans with a dedicated specialist supporting adoptive parents throughout the placement process.

Post Placement Services

The State of Tennessee requires 6 months between placement and adoption. During that time, we will continue to work with your family to ensure the completion of all necessary requirements and support your family.

Finalization of Adoption

Our Team works alongside your attorney to ensure the procedures are carried out for your adoption according to the State of Tennessee Requirements.

Am I eligible to adoption through A Loving Option Adoption?

Are there age requirements for Adoptive Parents?

Prospective parents must be at least 21 years of age with at least one parent 45 years of age or under and the other parent being no older than 50 years old.

What if I am a single parent?

Adoptive Parents may be married or single. All applicants must have maintained their legal marital status for two years, whether single, married, or divorced.

We are newly married, are we eligible?

Married applicants must have maintained legal marital status for a minimum of two years.

Does your organization provide adoption services to same sex couples?

We would note that we serve birth parents regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability.

CCETN’s Adoption Services work to ensure that children are integrated into families, both married and single, that uphold our faith tradition based upon the Catholic Church’s teaching that marriage consists of a man and woman.

All individuals who contact A Loving Option Adoption for information about adoption will be provided access to resources and other organization that may be able assist them in their unique adoption journey regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability.

Only one of us is a U.S. Citizen, can we still adopt?

At least one parent must be a U.S. Citizen.

Do we need to be Catholic to adopt?
  • You do not need to be Catholic to adopt through A Loving Option Adoption. We ask that our Pre-Adoptive parents uphold the gospel values in their home and plan to instill those values in their parenting. These include respect for the dignity of every person, dedication to God, a commitment to nourish the spiritual development of your child and in your family, valuing individuals above personal gain, and an intention to be a peacemaker within family and in the community.
Do we need a home study?

All Applicants must have an approved home study prior to being listed for matching with A Loving Option Adoption. We provide home study services through our organization. If you have a domestic adoption home study through another organization, you may apply to be considered for listing upon verification of your study and required background checks.
