KAFCAM is an alliance of churches, agencies, ministries, and community advocates who serve foster, adoptive, and kinship children and families as well as advocate for family preservation whenever possible. They are here to encourage, equip, and connect people to make the gospel visible through adoption, foster care, and kinship care rooted in the local churches in Knoxville, TN.
A Loving Option Adoption was honored to attend this years KAFCAM Adoption & Foster Care Conference on March 25, 2023. Our Program Manager, Ada Hernandez-Bell, attended as a Panelist for Adoption 101. Birth Parent Case Manager, Kelsee Gomillion, shared information on the programs offered for children and families through Catholic Charities of East Tennessee.
KAFCAM is a volunteer led program that started in 2014 and has grown into over 15 churches and over 30 partner organizations. KAFCAM seeks to be a bridge between the local church and vulnerable children in the Knoxville community. Their annual conference is just one of the many ways they partner with organizations to provide information and resources to families in the area. They understand the importance of having a strong support system and connecting families looking for support and information.
